Day 2

We got great news this morning!! All three embryos fertilized and are progressing! This is a HUGE milestone and we are so grateful!!!! We were not so lucky in the past for ALL of them to fertilize so needless to say we are super excited! The embryologist called and informed me of how great they all look. He said that the eggs yesterday looked very healthy. Today the embryos looked the same way!! They will grade them tomorrow but it is still too early to do it today. He also told me that since we don't have a selection that they will do the transfer on Friday. The embryos do way better when they are in the womb instead of the incubator. Which makes perfect sense. My doctor also called and told me how excited she was that they are doing so well. She said that even though it doesn't mean much at this point, she was so happy to see how flawless they look. When we used my eggs they never looked good. From the day of retrieval till the day they were fertilized. Then the embryos never looked good. So it is so great to hear that they look like they are suppose to at this point. She said that they would transfer as many as we had on Friday, even if it was all three of them! She is also leaving on vacation tomorrow so she wouldn't be there on Friday. I will have another doctor but I have met him and he is really nice. She assures me that he is one of the best people to take her place. I am super excited but the embryos still have a long way to go!
